Redux: Apple charging for OS X Beta
Monday, Sep 25, 2000
You may have read my earlier post about Apple's probable rationale in charging for the OS X Public Beta. Well, over the past few days it's been gnawing at me, not that Ihad to pay $30 for the beta, but that the beta will expire in March. I didn't just pay $30 for beta software; I paid $30 to be able to use beta software for the few months before it expires. Basically I'm paying to rent beta software, and that's even ickier.
