Augh! Rolling Blackouts!

California has instituted rolling blackouts tonight, because they've run out of electricity. If the site goes down (as it was for about an hour and a half this afternoon) now you know why!

Funny thing. You'd think the richest metropolitan area in the richest state in the richest country in the world would be able to buy its own power, but apparently not...
