Juno: "Free" is a loose term.
Monday, Feb 05, 2001
Free internet service provider Juno changed their membership agreement with subscribers yesterday. Now, according to the News.com article, they now have the right to require their users to leave their computers on all the time, and automatically download applications that will run on the CPUs, in effect creating a distributed supercomputer.

Funny, I don't see people who won't pay for dialup internet access as having very fast machines, but given sufficient numbers, we may find out the trillionth digit of Pi faster than ever, or at least find intelligent life in space.
